· How to Install PS3 Custom Firmware 3.55 and Play Game Backups
Finally a custom firmware for Playstation 3 is out, no special actions needed anymore, no more PS3 key sticks needed anymore, just copy the game to your external HDD and launch it via manager.

Instructions:
7. Create a folder on your Flash Stick/External HDD called "PS3" then inside it a folder called "UPDATE".
8. Copy the extracted "PS3UPDAT.PUP" file to "UPDATE" folder you created.
9. Copy the extracted "UP0001-GAIA01985_00-7679866932773369-GAMEZ.pkg" to the root of your Stick/HDD.
10. Insert Stick/HDD in PS3 USB port.
11. Turn on your PS3 and go to System Updates and choose update via storage.
12. Once the system updated and the PS3 rebooted go to "Install Packages" and install the new rewritten Gaia Manager for CFW 3.55.
13. Launch Gaia Manager and load up one of the games you have on External HDD in GAMEZ folder.
14. The game will load up in main menu in replacement of the current Blu-ray game.
Note 1: An original Blu-ray game still required to play game backups.
Note 2: This can be done on modified or stock PS3 Console.
Note 3: If you are on original 3.55 firmware then you should run this update in recovery mode.
